EXACT Technology

Manufacturer of quality control equipment for prestressed concrete companies since 1970.

Manufacturer of quality control equipment for prestressed concrete companies since 1970.

Products Engineering was established in 1970 by Brad Davis, originally producing and installing electrical curing systems. Products Engineering evolved to not only produce electrical curing systems, but a range of products including: temperature monitoring systems, match curing molds, and other concrete curing accessories. By using customer feedback, on-site observation, and other research, developed the newest, best equipment to aid companies in the production and quality control of prestress concrete products.

Efficient Sure Cure System

The Sure Cure system is over 90% efficient in applying electrical energy to the concrete in the form of heat. The system is controllable from both the cloud and locally and maintains uniform temperatures throughout the concrete for the duration of the cure cycle. It also calculates maturity, tracks energy consumption, controls electrical demand and stores all generated data. Electric curing reduces the cost of energy, labour, and materials while improving the quality of precast products.

Low Maintenance And Operating Costs

Excellent Reliability With Cloud And Local Control

The Right Cure For Concrete

The Sure Cure system is low maintenance and is custom designed to accommodate specific forms based on volume and heat loss characteristics.

SURE CURE electric curing systems cost less to operate because it is more efficient. It is more efficient due to the energy (i.e, heat) produced by our system is transferred directly into the form. The losses to the surrounding air are much less significant than any boiler-type curing system. Less than 5% of the electrical power used is lost between the power source and the bed. Because polyurethane foam is sprayed against the outside surface of the form, the electric curing system captures the heat of the hydration produced from the curing concrete.

For maintenance, the electric system only requires tightneing screws once a year (new electric curing systems are built with screw-less terminal blocks, thus reducing maintenance further).

How much do you spend on your boiler system? We offer an alternative to oil and natural gas powered systems.

Yes, the SURE CURE Full Feature Control System will work with any type of curing system, as will our smaller Micro Curing Control System and Mini Curing Control System.

What is the hardness of your neoprene pads?

“Standard” pads are 50 durometer (per ASTM D 20000 M2BC514A14B14), and “hard” pads are 70 durometer.

Which pads do you recommend for different strength tests?

Standard pads are recommended when testing for strengths of 3,500 – 7,000 psi. Hard pads  are generally used for tests of 7,000 – 12,000 psi.

ASTM C1231-93, AASHTO T22

I’m having problems with the neoprene pads tearing up too fast. What can I do?

SURE CURE sells extended life pads which are tougher than our regular neoprene pads. Extended life pads come in 6″ and 4″ sizes in the 60 durometer and 70 durometer densities.

Also:

  • Be sure the test specimen is center on the pad.
  • Use a lubricant such as corn starch with the pad.
  • Attempt to make test specimens with smooth tops.
  • Consider using a harder durometer pad.
