Over the course of two weeks, the team installed a total of 540MI and 16 Nichrome heaters – across 18 bed sections, using over 2,000 weld studs. Thanks to labeled wiring harnesses, pre-positioned weld clips, and efficient planning, the retrofitting process was smooth and accelerated each day. Having welders on standby ensured any unexpected repairs could be managed instantly. Behind the scenes, EXACT’s production, operations, and procurement teams played a critical role in delivering the right components on time, including last-minute needs.
The real win, however, was strategic: retrofitting Finfrock’s existing forms with EXACT’s electric curing system gave them a powerful modernization tool without the cost and disruption of replacing infrastructure. This upgrade allows Finfrock to apply controlled heat to the concrete curing process, enabling faster form stripping and more consistent early break strength results.
The project was a technical and logistical success. Not only was the job completed efficiently, with daily improvements in process and pace, but the results promise long-term value. The electric curing system will improve production output and consistency at Finfrock, helping them stay competitive while maximizing the use of their existing forms. These two curing beds are just the latest in a growing list of EXACT installations for Finfrock, reaffirming a trusted partnership built on reliability, innovation, and high performance.
